Terms of Sale
1. What you are buying
A personalized, printed hardcover picture book starring your child, made from a photo you upload. The price you pay includes printing and free shipping within the United States. We ship to US addresses only.
2. How an order works
After you pay, a parent or guardian uploads a clear photo of the child. We draw your child as a character, and you approve it or ask us to redraw it. Then we make the whole book and show you every page. Nothing is printed until you press Approve. You may ask for up to 2 redraws of the character and up to 5 redraws of individual pages. If you do not respond for 3 days, we will contact you. We never approve a book for you.
3. Artwork is made with AI
The pictures are created with artificial intelligence from your photo and our stories. The likeness is close but not exact, and small details can differ from page to page. That is why you review every page before printing. The story text is written by us.
4. Cancellations and refunds
- Before you press Approve: cancel any time for a full refund to your original payment method. Use the cancel link on your order page, or email us. If you bought on Etsy, the refund is made through Etsy once we hear from you.
- After you press Approve: the book is made just for your child and goes to print, so we cannot cancel or refund it, except as below.
- Problems: if your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or does not match the version you approved, contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo and we will reprint it or refund you.
- Lost in the mail: if tracking shows the book was not delivered, we will reprint it or refund you.
5. Shipping
Books are printed and shipped by our print partner, Lulu, usually arriving about 2 to 3 weeks after you approve. You will receive a tracking email. Please check your shipping address when you order: we cannot change it after printing begins. Ordering for Christmas? The last day to order and approve for delivery by December 25 is December 5; we still gladly take orders after that, but they will not arrive in time.
6. Rules for photos and names
Upload only photos of a child you are the parent or legal guardian of, or have the parent or guardian's permission to use. Photos must not contain nudity or anything harmful. We use automated safety checks, and we may decline or cancel (with a full refund) any order that fails them.
7. Ownership
The stories, characters and artwork are ours. Your purchase is a personal copy of the book for you and your family to keep, give and enjoy. Please do not resell copies or use the artwork commercially. You keep all rights to your own photos.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
